RAAC Survey Schools
Schools built between the 1950s and 1990s are among the buildings most commonly affected by RAAC, and with pupils and staff on site throughout term time, surveying work needs to be planned carefully to minimise disruption. Our team carries out RAAC identification surveys in schools, working closely with facilities managers and local authorities to fit survey work around the school calendar while still delivering the accurate data needed to assess risk.
Our Approach to School RAAC Surveys
We use ferro scanning and ground penetrating radar to identify material and reinforcement patterns consistent with RAAC, minimising the need for invasive investigation in occupied areas of the school. Survey work is scheduled around school hours, holidays, or weekends where required, and carried out with appropriate safeguarding awareness, so that day-to-day school operations are affected as little as possible.
